Dear _________,

As treasurer of name of your church, I want to personally thank you for your consistent, faithful financial giving. As we enter the fall of this year, we have some of the most exciting opportunities ever; however, with these great opportunities also comes the challenge of finding the needed financial resources to fulfill God’s call on our church.

During the summer months, it isn’t unusual to put our giving on the back burner. I want to encourage you to pray about becoming more consistent in your weekly giving to name of your church. As many of you know, we are in an exciting building fund program. I want to thank you in advance for responding so positively to this present challenge, and also encourage you not to overlook our weekly budget. As the treasurer, I need to inform you of the present deficit we face in the 2008 budget. We are running behind in our giving, although we are confident with everyone praying and responding that we will make up this shortfall in the next few months.

Name of your church is a young church, but we have always responded to every need. Our Children’s ministry is growing rapidly, our youth ministry is vibrant and we continue to reach more and more adults each week for Christ. In the past two weeks alone, we have had over ___ people make decisions for Christ in the Sunday morning worship! God is amazing!

Would you please join name of spouse and me, as we tithe weekly to name of your church? I am confident that with all of us together, we can meet this present financial need.

In partner in ministry together,

Name of treasurer
